As I was starting to form the figure of the little ballerina of this glass sculpture from the clay, I felt its origin, I felt the place of this image in my body, from where it was rising to the surface through my hands becoming three dimensional.

The process of creation was as if swimming from deep down towards light, towards the aerosphere where one can take a breath engulfing the whole body.

I was anxiously watching the ballerina taking shape, I was eagerly waiting for the picture to get clear to be able to see the details of what my hands were creating. It was a striking experience to realize, to become aware of the fact that the ballerina was me, my former self as I had seen myself in my dreams. As a child I was longing to become a ballerina but my figure was not made for it.

For me,this means that the past has not passed by, it exists all the time seeking the opportunity to be.
