It’s 7a.m. and my 4 year old
son is letting me know it’s time to get up. Coffee. Get dressed. Get him
dressed. Coffee finally kicks in. I make breakfast for the family. We pick out a different, stain free outfit. I
drop him off at school
my time is starting…Now!

By mid
morning I’

Our minds are accepting and free as new compositions, color schemes, objects, imagery, and points
of
view are discussed and challenged. Those ideas and themes will matur
e over time into new and unique art.
I believe that true art pushes the boundaries of failure, in material and technique. Find failure and take two
steps back. My finished art exist on the outer limits of comfort and acceptability by forcing the viewer to
experience the imagery and objects in a non
traditional method.
After a full day in the studio, I like to recharge by having dinner with my family. I listen as my wife and
son discuss their very different days. Bedtime closes in fast, and my son is asleep
. The sketchbook is filled
with more details late into the night. Before long it will be 7a.m. and time to get up according to my
youthful alarm clock
