In addition to my exploration of form development, my studio practice is predicated on commitments to exhibitions, commission work and sculpture in the public arena. My process is evolutionary based on past experience and experimentation. Another major factor is the engagement with my team of assistants in the development of the work and as well the magnitude and diversity of my studio projects.

On the average at any given time there are approximately 75-100 works going on simultaneously, therefore my day to day reality is comprised of making decisions and judgements on the evolution of each piece toward its resolution.

Singularity is impossible in this environment its more like a tapestry of concerns that interweave and coalesce through the process. Because of this complexity, some sculptures might take several years to complete. For me personally the mental discipline is to be able to focus on each specific piece and thus define a judgment that is appropriate to its unique character. It is important to note that I direct very specifically what has to be accomplished by my team. They bring their skill, understanding and logistics to bear but there is no interpretation in reference to the aesthetics, and I am quite detail orientated. Thus, the engagement in process determines the evolution of the work.
