The making of this work describes a certain rhythm. Weaving into the fabric of my day. Where the technical concerns of the studio and glass inform my thinking and making. I also take moments of time outdoors, (often walking our hounds) which allows me to appreciate the play of light and the complexities of nature. These organic and structural investigations become elements within my work. Where components are incorporated sympathetically into each other. The cross sections of glass perforate the surface of the membranes. These details refract and diffuse light, evocative of microscopic imagery.
